Nawewee Authentic Items Policy
We are committed to our principles rooted in integrity and quality of services and products. We have confidence in Nawewee buyers and sellers and could trust them to be dependable and responsible partners in progress. Ensuring that customers continually enjoy improved, safe, convenient and seamless trading and shopping experience online without having to worry about any transaction is key to us. To project our customers and make them get nothing less than value for their money, we do not allow the sale of counterfeit items or inauthentic, counterfeit or unauthorized items on Nawewee, and vendors found to violate this may be banned from Nawewee’s marketplace. All items offered for sale on Nawewee must be authentic.
Nawewee prohibits the listing and sale of inauthentic merchandise, including any items that have been manufactured, replicated, or reproduced without authorization. All items bearing a company’s official brand name or logo must have been lawfully made by, for, or with the consent of that company, otherwise the vendor is in violation of Nawewee’s Authentic Items policy.
It is the responsibility of each vendor to source and sell only authentic products. If a vendor is determined by Nawewee to have sold inauthentic/counterfeit goods, Nawewee may suspend or terminate the vendor’s ability to sell on Nawewee immediately, indefinitely, and without warning; and current or future payments held by Nawewee on the vendor’s behalf may be forfeited, withheld, and applied towards the reimbursement of buyers.
If a buyer receives an item determined to be inauthentic, Nawewee will not facilitate the return or replacement of this item to the vendor and the vendor bears the entire risk of losing the physical item, the monetary value of the item, and the privilege to continue selling on Nawewee. Sales of inauthentic/counterfeit goods may also lead to civil and criminal penalties and legal action against sellers by the lawful owners of the intellectual property infringed upon, and Nawewee will cooperate with the appropriate parties in holding the offending vendors accountable.
We take our responsibility to provide a safe platform for buying and selling online in Nigeria very seriously and this includes merchandise/product authenticity. We constantly work hard to improve how we detect and prevent inauthentic/counterfeit products from reaching our marketplace because we know that our customers trust that they are buying authentic products when they shop on Nawewee. It’s our job to provide an online marketplace deserving of trust and this is why we stand behind the products sold on our site with our 100% Buyer Protection program.
We encourage anyone (buyer or vendor) who suspects counterfeit or inauthentic items are being sold on Nawewee to notify us by emailing info@nawewee.com. We’ll investigate the situation and take appropriate action.
